Shaun Boothe: Unauthorized biography of JIMI HENDRIX
Our boy Shaun Boothe has dropped his next biography masterpiece.
This time its on Jimi Hendrix. A personal inspiration for me since I've watched countless performance videos on him while jamming on my keytar. Jimi!!! You've gotta see this and take in the lyrics. Shaun is one of the great Hip Hop artist/writers coming out of Toronto.
If you aren't familiar with the series check out his other artist's bios, James Brown, Bob Marley, Muhammed Ali, Martin Luther King jr and Barack Obama
GOOD ASS MUSIC
Man today I'm in one of those moods where nothing is popping off the way I want it to. I had a shot of Jack Daniels with my boy and decided to put on some Ol D'angelo.
This song helped me through some ruff times in the past and I was listening to it again today. Timeless is what it is, and it should be if its coming from the Voodoo album. D'angelo where are youuuuuuuuuuuu?????
If you need some down home blues music here's a personal reccommendation from me to you.

GOOD ASS MUSIC
The other day I was talking with a bunch of people,, reflecting on the Grammy show from a month or so a go (was it a month?). Anyhow, in the middle of everyone getting they're hate on about how the Grammys are shit,, bla bla,, I had to bring up this Radiohead performance of "15 Steps" off the "In Rainbows" album. To be completely honest, I totally slept on this joint.. In fact I was all over every song on the album except for this one. This performance pretty much sold me on this song, so now it's in my regular ipod rotation for when I sit at departure gates waiting for connector flights. Couldn't find the Grammy footage, but found some other footage of him killing this track live.

I can't believe I've never done a Dilla post on this blog. Probably one of the most important people to me in music EVER. Here's some real obvious shit... but it's a joint I constantly come back to and play on repeat. Ridiculous.

UNIQLO X OPENING CEREMONY
So I was naming my posts about clothing "Fashion Check", but I'm deading that shit now cause to me it kinda sounds gay and pretentious. Anyways, that's not going to stop me from posting the dopeness. Lately I've really been really anti-expensive clothing. Maybe it's the recession, maybe it's cause I'm currently super broke lol. Either way, it's all about mixing high and low. Uniqlo (http://www.uniqlo.com/us/) definitely has a stable place in my closet, and it perfect if you're on a budget.
Great for staple stuff like denim, trousers, button ups, and they often get cool little standout unique pieces in. Recently they've been doing this thing called a "Designers Invitation Project" which is where they invite more high end designers to make small collections for them, and they basically throw it in the store and keep it at their regular price point. Very cool.
Right now they have a spring collection designed by "Opening Ceremony" which is a New York brand/boutique. Highly recommend Uniqlo if you're in NY or Japan.

AIR CANADA AT IT AGAIN
So last night we flew out from Vancouver to Montreal with a stop over in Toronto. Don't need to tell you that Air canada almost lost our luggage AGAIN. That would've been my keyboard, Tune's Cymbals and Flo's turntable efx box. Somehow they managed to "misplace" a 3rd of the flights luggage. After an hr and a half we finally saw our things coming out on the luggage belt. Ah, Air Canada........
